PESAKids Policy
We teach our athletes the importance of good sportsmanship. We instill emotional maturity & the importance of teamwork.
As they approach the stage of competition (Age 4+) in our programs - we do keep score and teach them how to handle wins and losses. We do not hand out trophies for participation. All athletes receive Certificates of Achievements which are earned by completing a season.
behavior Policy
A sports environment can get overwhelming. Our athletes are being coached in a way that prepares them to not only be a great athlete but a great person.
We do want to make sure the environment provides safety and positive interactions. The quality of the classes is important.
In the case of a child being disruptive - we do go through a 3-step process to removal.
1. Child is spoken to by the coach during class multiple times and is then removed.
(Major disruption 1)
2. Parent is contacted, notifying them of the situation by email as the behavior has not changed and was removed.
(Major disruption 2)
3.Child is removed from class for the third time - potential credit or refund may be given back to the parents depending on the location and or time of removal in relation to the season.
What is a major disruption?
1.Any form of violent behavior towards themselves, other children, or the coach.
2.Not following the directions of the coach for an entire class after the coach speaks with the child with each disruption.
3.Any form of safety concerns for the child or other children within the class.
